Canopies, such as pop-up canopies and party tents, are a common sight at many fairs adn festivals, and this includes the Taste of Wallingford in Connecticut.

Canopies, especially the pop-up tent kind, are seen at many outdoor events. This includes a recent fair in Wallingford, CT called the Taste of Wallingford. The festival, an outdoor event in which restaurants in the central Connecticut town gathered to give locals a taste of their food selections, was during a fairly warm day in October, but even then, canopies are needed for shade for the people and the food being sold. Below are some pictures taken at the Taste of Wallingford. Notice the variety of canopy structure being used, from small to large pop-up tents to tents with polyethylene sidewalls and insect netting.

Most of these structures are of the aluminum frame and polyester canopy variety. This includes the larger canopy structures which, in many cases, are called wedding tents. Although wedding tents can sometimes have a square formation, these are more rectangular, with poles in the center holding up the structure. In general, these types of canopies are appropriate for the event, as each can be put up and taken down quickly and will protect those under from the sun. The canopy material, whether polyester or polyethylene, is treated to be UV resistant, or at least reduce UV rays, and waterproof, in case of rain. Although the Taste of Wallingford wasn’t hit with rain that day, the vendors were prepared with the appropriate structures for any inclement weather.

Pop-up canopies are often used in the backyard, and these canopies can be set up and taken down for holidays like Labor Day.

Labor Day just passed, and one common aspect for this holiday is outdoor cookouts and get-togethers in the backyard. As a result, many backyard parties use pop-up canopies for their celebrations. These canopies can be used as a shelter for people needing shade, or, more specifically, they can be a covering for a table with plates of food for the afternoon or the evening. Regardless of how you use your canopies, all of these structures are referred to as pop-up canopies, EZ-up canopies, or party tents. Each of these structures is composed of a steel frame, typically powder coated steel to protect it from the elements, and a canopy made of polyester or medium-duty polyethylene.

Although Labor Day is over, the fall season is still warm enough for some backyard parties. When setting up one of these party tents for a get-together in your backyard, the structure is typically one or two pieces. With pop-up tents, the canopy may be attached to the metal frame, which folds out and upward in one piece. One of these tents can be set up by yourself or with a group of people. Once the tent is folded out, additional support for it during the party can be done with small metal anchors. These attach to the legs of the canopy and can be driven into the ground to keep the canopy firmly in place.

If you don’t already have a party tent (or know someone who owns one), one of these structures can be purchased through any canopy supplier. In addition, these structures can be modified by plastic walls or mosquito netting in case of insects. These walls or netting can be attached to the sides of the canopy and, in case you no longer need to use them, the material can be taken down or tied to the posts of the party tent.

Leaving a steel canopy frame on the beach is considered littering, but around Tampa Bay, this has become a common problem.

Apparently, leaving canopies on the beach is an issue around Tampa, according to Florida newspaper The Beach Beacon. But, according to this article, it’s not the polyethylene or polyester canopies that are being left behind but, instead, the steel frame of the canopies. As a result, the frame is washing up and getting caught between the erosion and coastal construction lines, as these public beaches, like several in Florida, have received some coastal reconstruction to reduce erosion damage. What type of threat do metal steel canopies pose for the environment? Although a canopy or tarp, theoretically, may tear and, like plastic bags, may have animals getting caught in it or attempting to consume it, the metal structure is simply litter.

If the steel structure of a canopy is left on the beach and goes out to sea, the metal will eventually rust. Although not as harmful to marine life as plastic or Styrofoam items, anything that is litter going out into the ocean may harm marine life – and steel components may be harmful to larger marine creature. If you don’t know about how harmful litter of all types is to the ocean, Green Eco Services has a page detailing the effects of litter on marine creatures.

If you’re a beach goer, what can you do to prevent beach litter? The first thing is to take your canopy home. Most steel pop-up canopies are easy to transport and take in a car, so when packing up your things, remember to bring both the canopy and steel structure. If you see others leaving their steel canopies on the beach – but taking everything else with them – remind them about the canopy they’re leaving behind or, if the canopy is already abandoned, contact any local authorities to report the abandoned canopy. Although a steel canopy frame may be alone on the beach, the tide may rise and drag it out to sea.

Canopy client CanopyHut has added additional Shelterlogic products, such as permanent canopies and pop up shelters, to its website.

As we manage several clients that sell a combination of tarps and canopy structures, it only seems natural that nearly all would carry some combination of these products. This client of ours, Canopy Hut, recently expanded its products in terms of structures. Generally, a canopy website has a blend of both permanent outdoor shelters like portable garages and pop-up canopies, such as EZ-up canopies, party tents, and wedding tents. Canopy Hut expanded its offerings in both of these areas, including adding such additional permanent structures like RV and boat canopies and other pop-up structures like trade show canopies.

For permanent outdoor canopies, what is the difference between a portable garage and an RV or boat shelter? Typically, it’s the size and the selection on Canopy Hut’s new product pages reflects this. The shelters on the boat canopy page can cover at least one boat, while the RV shelters are all long canopy structures with walls designed to cover at least one RV. The larger RV shelters are both wide and long to hold two RVs. In addition, other permanent outdoor shelters Canopy Hut now carries include car canopies, which are enclosed or open carports for one or more cars to fit under in all kinds of weather. All of these permanent outdoor canopies are by Shelterlogic.

The other new products now offered by Canopy Hut are temporary shelters that can be set up outdoors with ease. These shelters are called party tents, pop-up canopies, or wedding tents depending on the size – wedding tents are typically the largest of this kind – and Canopy Hut now has trade show canopies. If you’re planning on attending a trade show outdoors with many items to protect, one of these canopy structures can be folded up in your car and can be set up quickly once at the trade show. As this canopy is only for temporary use, it is designed to be taken out, put up, and transported with ease.

Regardless of whether you call it a pop-up or party tent, a pop-up tent can be temporary shelter for a number of outdoor purposes.

“Pop-up tent” is a term used for party tents. Essentially, they’re the same type of structure, only a pop-up tent is a bit more descriptive in terms of how the tent operates. In the realm of online tent and portable garage sales, pop-up or party tents are lighter shelters not used for permanent shelter and, as a result, they have various uses and, like the sturdier portable garage counterparts, come in a number of sizes. But, if you hear someone using the terms “party tent” and “pop-up tent,” they’re both interchangeable, as well as with “EZ-up canopy.”

If you need a tent for outdoor functions that can be set up easily, a party tent or pop-up tent is the structure to use. These structures can be stored easily and transported without any issues. In fact, they make optimal outdoor shelters, as they can be set up within minutes by one or two people. If you’re anticipating rain at a backyard party or beach trip, having one of these structures on hand will protect people, food, or valuables from getting wet. Similarly, if you need protection from the sun, one of these structures will provide shade and shelter for the afternoon. Whether you need a small shaded area at the beach or a larger tent for guests, such as with a wedding tent, this structure can be set up easily, stay in place, and be taken down. In addition, if you need additional modifications to the structure, mosquito nets or side walls can be installed without trouble.

What are some uses for this structure? Aside from whether you refer to it as a party or pop-up tent, the structure has numerous outdoor uses. If you’re planning a beach party or a backyard gathering, one of these tents can be set up as a place for shade. Outdoor markets are another place for these tents. Whether you have your own kiosk or need shade for a table, one of these pop-up tents can be brought along and set up to cover your goods and belongings. If the market, including farmers’ markets or flea markets, is already in the shade, one of these pop-up tents can still be brought along in case of rain.

When you need quick outdoor shelter, one of these structures can be brought along and set up to protect you and others from sun or rain.

Party tents have a variety of uses outdoors, including being temporary shelter at home or the beach or as a tent at a flea market or any other outdoor event.

Summer often means increased use of tarps and canopies for shelter, and one such structure that gets additional use in the summer is a party tent, also known as a canopy tent, a pop-up tent, or an easy-up canopy. While this blog has covered the use of blue medium duty tarps for hurricanes and mesh canopies as low-light garden shelters for spring and summer, a party tent is one structure that doesn’t have a specific use, although it becomes ubiquitous with outdoor events during the warmer months.

A party tent has a number of uses as the result of its easy-to-assemble structure. Typically, a party tent is composed of a galvanized or powder-coated steel frame and a polyester canopy. Instead of dealing with tying down grommets and attaching various metal parts to a frame, a party tent is put up easily and taken down easily, as the frame is often a one-piece unit with a separate or attached canopy, hence the name “pop-up tent.” Because of its size, it’s easily portable and can be taken down, put in the back of a large car or truck, and set up again with ease and minimal, if no, hardware involved.

What are some of the uses for a party tent? A party tent can be used anywhere outdoors for temporary shelter. Some of the more popular uses include:
• Backyard tent. With the sun outdoors, you’ll want to shade yourself and guests whenever you have a backyard party. One way to provide shade to everyone is with a small or medium-sized party tent that can be set up and act as the central location for backyard parties and barbecues.
• Beach tent. Take a party tent to the beach when you have a group of four or more people coming. Instead of using a large beach umbrella, shade everyone and your things with a party tent.
• Shelter for a flea market. If you ever go to a flea market to sell items in warmer weather, one way to protect your things – and yourself – from water damage is with a pop-up tent. These fit in a car and, at the first sight of rain, can be set up quickly.

Wedding tents are made from a steel frame and a polyester canopy, and these large canopies are used at weddings, including beach weddings, for outdoor shelter.

A beach wedding typically isn’t significantly different from any other outdoor weddings, except for the theme and type of ground. One common fixture for many outdoor weddings, including beach weddings, is a wedding tent. A wedding tent often serves as the center point for a wedding reception. The guests often gather under the large wedding tent during the reception, and chairs and tables are set up under this structure for the guests. In the evening, the large tent can become an outdoor dance floor once all tables and chairs have been removed. In addition, smaller wedding tents can be used during the ceremony and wedding reception for caterers, a DJ, or a band.

Wedding tents are temporary structures made of a steel frame and a vinyl or polyester canopy, but, as with all outdoor structures, larger structures take time to set up. As YouTube is a next-to-endless trove of how-to videos, it’s only natural that videos for setting up a wedding tent would be added. One YouTube user filmed a wedding tent being set up for a beach wedding. While the general set up of the metal frame and the canopy are no different for a beach wedding than any other outdoor wedding, creating a firmer foundation to support the tent is necessary for a beach wedding – especially if the tent is directly on the sand as it is in this video. While the set up time is sped up, the steps are still clearly displayed in the video for setting up a wedding tent for a large outdoor ceremony.

Party tents, also known as pop-up tents or EZ up tents, are tents consisting of a steel frame and a polyester canopy for temporary shelter.

Outdoor events are becoming more common especially for weddings and parties. Party Tents are a great way to celebrate any event in style. Unlike the more functional canopies on the market, Party Tents protect and serve as a part of the overall allure of the event. Party Tents range in many different sizes, colors and styles. Party Tents Depending on the event being held are offered in bright colors that are visually stunning and more conservative colors like those of Wedding Tents. Party Event Tents have the additional option of enclosing the entire structure with side panels which add not only elegance but also add further protection from the elements. Side panels allow for greater versatility in event situations. During the day the side panels can be left off keeping the Party Tent bright and allowing the breeze to enter the tent. Once the event enters into the evening hours the side panels can be attached to provide protection from the cold and to also give a more elegant appearance. Whatever the event or occasion may be, Party Tents are a great and creative alternative to standard events held in buildings.

Need a temporary structure for an outdoor event? A party tent is one option that is easy to put up and offers temporary protection for your event.
Party tents come in a few varieties, and the size varies on the amount of guests you’ll need to support. A typical party tent has a simple frame that supports a vinyl or polyester canopy. This type of party tent is called a frame tent and is used for smaller groups. For a larger group, a pole tent can accommodate a group as large as 500 people. A pole tent has a centralized pole that holds up the party tent structure and the canopy is held in place by tension. Aside from being able to protect a large group, a pole tent can be made to have cathedral-like ceilings inside.

A third option is a pop-up tent, also known as an EZ up tent. A pop-up tent is popular for outdoor family functions, or events like a backyard party in which the group in attendance isn’t large. A pop-up tent, made of the same materials as a larger party tent, only needs one person to put it up. As the structure comes up and down easily, it is very portable and can be taken in the back of a car or truck from a backyard to flea markets, festivals, and the beach for temporary shelter.

For additional protection, screens and walls can be attached to the sides of a party tent. Some options, all of which can easily be installed with a kit from a canopy dealer, include mosquito netting to keep out bugs during an outdoor event and clear plastic walls in case of rain.
